post-Lobotomy Corporation lore run variation, v0.1

Goal: Finish the game and unlock everything

Premise:

A “lore run” is a simulation of a first playthrough, one where the runner slowly unravels the mysteries of the game’s story and setting. It’s basically a combination of a Let’s Play but with someone who knows how to play the game at the helm, a Long Play where the goal is to encounter and discover everything lore related, and a speedrun avoiding unnecessary things that can bore the viewer.

Rules:

  1. You must watch all of the cutscenes for all receptions at least once without skipping.
  2. You must try your best to roleplay the librarians’ lack of knowledge of the future. You can back out of a reception to prepare after seeing what the guests are carrying, but information related to events later in the game must not be mentioned on stream.
  3. As this is the follow-up to a Lobotomy Corporation 100% lore run, spoilers for Lobotomy Corporation are encouraged to give context to certain things in the game. Library of Ruina spoilers are still prohibited, as is content from adjacent media like Wonderlab and Distortion Detective.
  4. You can still engage with your chat, but you should consider timing out or even banning chat members giving out too many spoilers. Similarly, you should also consider removing chat from the overlay to remove the chance of spoilers showing up on the stream.
  5. You must read all of the unit dialogue during receptions. Serious voice acting is optional.
  6. You must unlock all pages from the current reception before moving on to the next. You must also read all of the key page stories.
  7. To prevent you from relying on a few overpowered strategies and encourage you to try out more creative approaches, you cannot use the same pages (both key and combat) and floors for consecutive receptions. Abnormality battles and farming receptions (ie. repeating them after completing them) are exempt from this rule.
  8. You can play through the Receptions in any order as long as the Floors are unlocked in order of the Sephirah (apart from Keter which is initially unlocked).
  9. You must complete all General Receptions for a chapter before moving to the next.
  10. Appearance mods are ok, but avoid using gameplay mods. At least have a lore-friendly reason/excuse if you plan to use them.

Note:

These rules apply only to this variation of the lore run. If you want to do your own lore run, you can change certain rules accordingly.

For example, a "start at Library of Ruina lore run" would also prohibit spoilers for Lobotomy Corporation and allow the game itself to reveal story points from the previous game.
